It saddens me to read posts like this below, only those who lack knowledge could paint a whole industry the same.

In the UK we have our fair share of rogue builders we have TV programmes about their antics and their nick name is ‘cowboy builders’ but it is foolishness to paint most of the building industry like this:
i have never got into a building business and i never will most of them are scams.

    Exclamation Xango and MLM

Multi-Level Marketing is not a scam, some scams are billed as an MLM but that does not make legitimate MLM companies scams. Just because Enron was corrupt does not make all corperations of that type corrupt. An MLM company is primarily different that other companies simply in the way it markets it product. MLM companies market products (and business) on a referral basis. Avon and tupperware are both MLM companies and how many of you own Avon or tupperware? Donald Trump owns an MLM company, apparently he considers it a legitimate investment. It quite honestly disturbs me a bit to think so many people have such misconstrued ideas about MLM, even when they often buy products form MLM companies.

I have been a distributor for Xango for four years now, it has an excellent compensation plan and if your interested in starting an MLM business I would recommend Xango as one to consider closely. My first MLM company was Primerica Financial Services, as subsidiary of Citigroup (one of the largest banks in the world). If your looking for a more "business" atmosphere company I would recommend Primerica or Prepaid Legal. My second company was 20/20 companies that market utilities door to door. It wasn't REALLY an MLM but the structure was similar, kind of a hybrid. I would only recommend this company to outgoing, energetic collage age kids. Or for people who know how to actually SELL as this is the primary function of the entry level position. (Xango, Primerica and Prepaid Legal do not require common "sales" techniques as much as well managed business practice and marketing)

The Xango Juice is not like orange juice and you usually don't drink it that way. It is considered an herbal health supplement like aloe vera or noni juice. A typical consumer would only drink 1 to 3 ounces 2 or 3 times daily, totally a cost of $2-$9 dollars a day. (Starbucks is what... $3-$5, how many cups do you drink a day? And caffine is really hard on your immune system). I typically drink two ounces twice daily, though recently I've taken to just putting an ounce into a bottle of water every time I get a new one. Personally I feel more energetic and don't get run down when I start skimping on sleep, and I feel that more than pays for its self. I won't get into second hand testimonies cause I don't want people to think I'm trying to sell it on here. (but of course if you are interested feel free to email me ;-)

Xango has been more of a fun company to work with than my previous companies and I enjoy the more relaxed atmosphere. They do a lot of hype, to their distributors, but it's not out of context and it can be really fun and help me think of new marketing strategies.

I hope this clarifies something for someone, there is a lot of bad news out there about MLM companies and even Xango. But if your capable of being open minded, there is bad news about everything. (how much bad news is there about Microsoft? But a lot of us still use Windows.) You've got to take bad news (or good news) with a grain of salt. News organizations make money off selling "news" and bad news sells best. (I always thought it was funny when news companies reported on how bad big business has become... pot calling the kettle black thing if there ever was one)

Enjoy all, best wishes and warm regards.

We need to be honest about what MLM is and why it does or doesn't work. True, a "legitimate" multi-level company offers a valuable product. Whether or not the value of the product justifies the cost is debatable - most who look closely will agree that it does not. But that's beside the point. MLM relies on the recruitment of other distributors to create income. Yes, you have a product that can be sold, but there are almost always equivelant alternatives at a much lower cost. Those who expect to make the promised income from selling the product are in for certain dissappointment. The designers of the multi-level opportunity really aren't concerned about selling high volumes of product as much as they are with recruiting distributors. This is how they make their money.

Consider these immutable facts of business: If a product works as advertised and it fills a need, it will sell. As sales increase two things happen - 1. Increased production results in lower costs and 2. Other manufacturers will copy the formula creating competition and drive prices down. You don't see prices being "driven down" with MLM based products. Again, this is because the company isn't concerned with selling the product as much as recruiting distributors. They use the product as a tool for recruitment - it doesn't even have to work if it can be made to look as if it does. Think about that last statement. Any successful network marketer will confirm, the only way to make a good (and residual) income is from an ongoing recruitment process.

To the original point - being honest about what MLM is. When you become an MLM distributor, the only real value of the product is how well it aids in the recruitment of other distributors. I'm not saying it's wrong to be involved in MLM, but you are not selling a product, you are selling an opportunity. Those who are very good at convincing people that their opportunity will create income can become successful in MLM - at least for a time. Eventually the market will get tapped out, and the opportunity will be marginal at best - and only limited to those who are already well established. For this reason people jump from one opportunity to the next so frequently. Again, if this is how a person wants to earn a living, more power to them.

I could go on and on and post statistics, but we don't want to turn this into a book. Just keep in mind that if you choose to get involved with network marketing, know what it is you'll be doing. And also know that it's a tough way to make a buck - in almost every case you're better off working for someone else as an employee or creating your own business (ie becoming a true entrepreneur). No offense intended, but unless you're creating the MLM opportunity you are working for someone else, and you are not technically an entrepreneur.

But sincerely, best of luck to those who choose MLM as a career path. It takes great talent and skill to make it work!

If you're looking for a MLM to be a part of, find one that focuses more on the product than the money-earning hype.

When you have any business with the primary goal of making tons of money, the product usually suffers. Money is the by-product of a business, not the business itself, When we join a MLM solely because we are told you will make tons of money, it's increasingly hard to sell the product. The end user wants the product and if you cannot sell it well, all bets are off.

Some MLMs have done very well - Avon, MaryKay, Send Out Cards, etc. because they focus on the product first and the money-making potential is the motivator. Those involved in these MLMs are able to focus on the benefits of the product and build long-term relationships with their customers.

Building your downline with MLMs that focus on the money-making potential also has a larger probability of failing because the minute you entice someone to join your downline because they want to make money, they will give up once the money doesn't roll in. In the end, you wind up with people who never sell the product.

If you're looking for an MLM, find one with a product you believe in. Again, the money is the reward and motivator, not the sole reason to do it.

    Success to you.

There are many things to evaluate before getting involved in a network marketing company. Some of which i believe have been covered.
1.PRODUCT- Network Marketing is an amazing business opportunity that can produce outstanding earning potential. Yet if there isnt a strong product, it instantly makes it more difficult because u become a salesman. The product should be consumable so that your downline will want to purchase it via autoshipment each month. If the product isnt consumable, you also become a salesman (how many sets of knives will u be able to sell to the same person?). The product also needs to be relevant and must be able to stand by its claims. (Alot of juice MLMs use third party validation as opposed to true clinical trials and peer reviewed studies)

2.COMPANY- You want a company that has a strong product and strong leadership that understands the network marketing industry.

    3. TIMING- This is where my main objection to alot of the "Juice War" companies and ancient MLM companies is. Although they may be stable companies, they already past what is known as the pionneering stage of the business "S" curve. Typically if you are among the first 135,000 members of a network marketing company it is considered a "ground floor" opportunity. Most companies I have seen represented on here past that number a long time ago. Im not saying its impossible for people to be successful with these companies today, it just takes longer. If you can get involved with a company before that company is making $50 million dollars a year, its easier to capture some of the exponential growth that happens once that company begins to really take off.

    4. TRENDS- Right now there are two major market trends that favor health and wellness oriented network marketing companies. Currently 2/3 of the people in this nation are between the ages of 40 and 60 yrs old. These "babyboomers" spend 2 out of every three dollars that go into circulation. Most people in this age range are looking for better health and a way to retire. Network marketing gives them the option to do both. Additionally, we are in a down economy with a high unemployment rate. Therefore more people are looking for different ways to make money.

    5. COMPENSATION- This is one of (if not) the main reasons people get involved with MLM companies. You want to look for a company that can privide you with quick income to cover your initial overhead as well as long term residual income and bonuses. Ones to really look for include matching bonuses as well because your sponsor will be even more motivated to help you succeed.

After taking all that into consideration, Xango is still a good company and product but the timing and compensation dont do much for me. Im also kind of tired of hearing about all of the different juices there are. I wish you the best of luck. However, if you are open to hearing about a 5month old company (Timing) that pays out 60% and has a matching bonus, leadership global bonus, fast start bonus, fast start bonus pool, unilevel that pays down 9 levels, stock options, and personal rebates (compensation) and has products that have been included in over 20 university clinical trials, 4 peer reviewed studies, 3 patents, and has been featured on ABC Primetime Live (Product) and has a corporate leadership team that includes top members from previous companies in the industry, some of which were involved in starting another well known network marketing company up and breaking all of the previous industry records within that company's first year in business, and is also one of the first publicly traded network marketing companies (Company) That follows the health and wellness trend that is predicted to be a multi-billion dollar industry (Trends), let me know. You have great enthusiasm and the whole "im going through with this with or without you" is exactly the confidence you need to succeed in this business. Anyway, If you are open to hearing about this opportunity (there are currently just over 5,000 members in the US and we expand into Mexico on the 21st of this month. They already have plans of going to Japan next year as well). Lifevantage is the name of the company. I havent posted 10 replies yet so i am unable to post links or emails yet. Check it out in my contacts though.

    Feeding the World's Hungry Children

Every day in the world, 16,000 children die from hunger and preventable diseases such as diarrhea, acute respiratory infections, and malaria. Malnutrition is associated with over 50% of those deaths and 75% of these are children under the age of 5.
That is equivalent to 1 child every 5.4 seconds.

Each year, 20 million low birth weight babies are born; they are at high risk of dying during infancy or suffering lifelong physical or cognitive disabilities. Hungry children are suffering from more individual health problems such as unwanted weight loss, fatigue, headaches, irritability, and an inability to concentrate, as well as frequent colds. The global hunger issue is not new and we can not completely solve it here, but the facts remain:
963 million people are hungry today as you read this
947 million people are currently undernourished
1 billion people in the world currently live on less than $1/day
146 million children under age 5 are currently underweight
10.1 million children under age 5 die every year, over ½ of which are due to hunger-related causes

The XanGo Company, successful since Nov. 2002, is first to market Mangosteen based health supplements made with the whole fruit while making a difference in the world. XanGo maintains a core element of charitable giving through the XanGo Goodness Foundation. This program benefits people worldwide and is committed not only to donating, but also participating in worthy causes around the world providing hope and help in countries where it is most needed.

Xango strives to raise social consciousness, while focusing on improving the lives of children around the world addressing the needs of people affected by disaster and crisis using XanGo's global resources to serve, support and improve communities in need.

Our mission is to do a little more than just “check-writing” directing nutritional needs for those that are starving and providing a means of financial help to improve the lives of others.

Through the Xango Goodness movement we provide nutritional XanGo Meal Packs
The Meal Packs are an innovative product formulation which is effective in meeting basic nutritional needs by simply adding water.

"A meal replacement program that is the first step out of starvation, this is a dry powder formula for the severely malnourished, it helps to strengthen those who cannot properly digest solid food due to long periods of poverty, famine and other disasters.”

XanGo Goodness Meal Packs contain Oat Flour, Sugar, non-fat dry milk, non dairy creamer, Salt and a *Vitamin/mineral Mix which consists of
Vitamin A, Palmitate, ascorbic acid, Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Niacinamide, Cholecalciferol, dl-alpha-tocopheryl Acetate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Folic Acid, cyanocobalamin, biotin, potassium iodide, zinc oxide, reduced iron, copper gluconate, Calcium d-pantothenate

XanGo has sold more than 1 Million Meal Packs to date as they are available for purchase throughout the world at an affordable cost of $45 or $90. The Meal Packs are packaged as a for-profit product with a charitable purpose. XanGo in partnership with AmeriCares ensures delivery of the Meal Packs where they are most needed.

Large Meal Packs feed approx. 35 people, while smaller packs feed approx. 17 people. Millions of children in places like Kenya, Zimbabwe, Myanmar, Ghana, Cambodia and Haiti are being nourished back to health through the use of these Meal Packs.

Currently in Haiti, the XanGo Goodness Foundation is using funds to also improve the immediate needs of earthquake victims by purchasing water purifiers, medical and other supplies. We still anticipate that shipments of Meal Packs will be sent to Haiti in the near future and distributed to those most in need.

XanGo Meal Packs continue to be distributed to:
    El Salvador
Meal Packs have been distributed to support school feeding programs in Guatajigua and other villages in northeast El Salvador where students have shown notable weight gain and improved mental acuity, because of improved nutrition. School attendance has also increased, because students do not want to miss their meal.

    Ghana
Meal Packs have been used as a nutritional supplement, bolstering an existing vitamin program, which helps strengthen pregnant women, infants and children in the villages of Nkawkaw and nine other surrounding areas. Chronic malnutrition is a major contributing factor to the high incident of pre-natal defects and infant mortality in this region.

    Haiti
Meal Packs have been distributed to support orphanage and school feeding programs mainly in areas affected by recent hurricanes around Port au Prince and also in the farming belt of central Haiti. Reports from these projects demonstrate that the students have shown notable weight gain and improved mental acuity, because of improved nutrition. School attendance has also increased, because students do not want to miss their meal.

    Kenya
Meal Packs have been distributed to support feeding programs in refugee camps near Kisumu. Estimates are that more than 300,000 people across Kenya have been displaced in this most recent round of violence, with Kisumu at the focal point of much of it. Bravely, volunteers have distributed Meal Packs to those refugees most in need, helping to alleviate one concern for these people.

    Myanmar
Meal Packs have been distributed to provide food and medical supplies to tens of thousands in the Irrawaddy Delta, who lost their homes and livelihoods because of Cyclone Nargis. Brave volunteers shown here, getting Meal Packs to the population, they secretly have crossed the border from Thailand to access the population.

    Zimbabwe
Meal Packs have been distributed to support medical and feeding programs in rural villages and health clinics. While some global charities struggle to make a difference, the Meal Packs have been distributed by a partner charity run by natives who seek to make a sustainable impact on living conditions in their own country. The Meal Packs served are strengthening those on the brink of starvation, helping to fortify them for many other challenges.

    Cambodia
XanGo Distributors have already donated more than 700,000 pounds of nourishment to those in need in Cambodia.

    Are we making a difference?

Since the Meal Pack program launched in October 2007, XanGo Distributors provided over 1 million meals to those suffering around the globe.

These Meal Packs are tangible, more than making a donation to charities and not knowing where the money goes; when you purchase a Meal Pack you know exactly what you've spent your you can money on and what its purpose is.

    Now, there are a few ways for you to get involved;

The first way is to purchase a Meal Pack from your local XanGo distributor and XanGo will ship it direct to the area where it is most needed which is great if we all had an extra $90 to spend. However, the economic trend is such that fewer and fewer people have any sort of extra disposable income. Unfortunately, this is the sobering truth when trying to raise money and awareness for worthy causes.

A second way is to become an Independent Distributor with XanGo. Here you have the option of marketing, promoting and building a business with any one or combination or all of the XanGo products to cover the cost of your donation and possibly more.

A business from a charitable donation sounds crazy? So what is the answer?

We would like to share with you a plan which builds an organization where distributing these Meal Packs into the world is our goal, while addressing the additional issue of a weak economy which is keeping otherwise willing participants from getting involved.

This program can help those who are motivated to do more yet lack the means to accomplish and sustain it. It will allow people the opportunity to purchase these Meal Packs and at the same time creating an extra income for themselves as a Distributor.

This is a great opportunity to help fund Missionaries and provide a continual means of support before, during and in preparation for future mission opportunities.

Imagine an entire group of caring people who will feed others in this word while building a business with a product that helps reward so many people, in so many different ways.

    It’s time to TAKE ACTION,
Step forward, Reach out and help make a difference.
Alone, you might be able to make an impact but together with XanGo,
    WE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD!

    xango pyramid scheme

its hard to do proper research about Xango, obviously because they cloud so much of it with this smokescreen info. but the most important thing to realize is that all of the "science" comes from a doctor who insists that he is objective and in no way related to the company, though it turns out he is a FAMILY MEMBER of the company. he wouldn't need to lie about this if they were legitimate. most ACTUAL objective doctors resoundingly dismiss his claims. he also makes very dangerous claims such as xango having cancer curing effects, and diabetes, and basically anything you can think of. none of which are legal claims someone with Xango can make. however even on federal records of campaign contributions he lists his occupation as "xango executive". this is illegal behaviors and an abuse of his medical credentials -speaking of which, he lied about those too, claiming to be board certified in both the US and Canada, when a background check confirmed he was certified in NEITHER!

as for income opportunity, they put emphasis on recruitment over the product, which is the hallmark sign of a pyramid scheme. if you doubt this, just look at their annual average income report. ANY earning claim MUST refer to this income report by law, so they must provide it too you. often it is displayed in a deceptive manner, but if you add the percentages of each level (usually in incredibly small print below) you can see for yourself that almost 99% of people in Xango are losing money, and that top percent are taking it ALL.
and speaking of that top percent - the top earner is Sherman Unkefer, wwho just happened to have spent 10 years in prison for FRAUD prior to doing Xango. nobody gets 10 years for white collor crime unless you're a REAL scumbag. real classy people in Xango.
