Exclamation guys, do not use PAYPAL!

    Hi,
There are people who might say, for example, use PayPal and add their affiliate URL, yet let me be different!

I have heard horror stories about PP before, but now I got a personal experience as well.

Truly, I have no doubt that their system is based on a random number generator, that would just disable random transaction from random accounts.

And as for their support, it seems that they have post-soviet army generals working there.

When one of them ( post-soviet army general ) was asked "if it was their missile that had hit a passenger airplane near Kiev?", he answered "Certainly not! Out helicopters would not have any flights near St. Petersburg next month!"

PP's support, basically no matter what you ask them about a failed transaction or a frozen acc, they would say

    Dear [My Name],

Hello, my name is Samuel [or any other random name] and I will be happy to assist you with your question regarding this payment difficulties.

PayPal employs complex statistical models to identify patterns of
behaviour. This is similar to the way banks and credit card companies
identify patterns of behaviour that are out of the ordinary when
approving individual transactions. When our system does not allow a
certain funding source for a transaction, it is merely an indication
that the individual transaction fits a pattern we have observed in the
past to have a high risk of failure.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

    Sincerely,
Vito [another random name, that doesn't match the name above ]

So better use 2CO or something ( my affiliate URL here, kidding ).

    Good Luck!

yeah, my paypal account got frozen a while ago, and it's still frozen to this day due to "suspicious activity". I had over $1,000 in my paypal account that I obtained through perfectly legit means, and when I tried to transfer it to my bank account they deemed that suspicious and froze my account. They have no customer support number anywhere on there site so I had to deal with them through email and they eventually sent me a list of ridiculous things they wanted me to fax them, like receipts of customers purchases which I obviously didn't have. I did a search and it seems like this happened to thousands of people, especially when they tried to transfer large amounts of money out of their paypal account. Basically paypal is stealing peoples money, giving a BS reason for freezing their account, and then saying they have to fax an impossible list of paperwork to get it back.

I wish there was a real alternative to paypal and i thought google checkout was going to be it, but apparently not.

I have not had those problems but when I have had problems I found a customer service number online (through google of course, not through their BS site) and gave them a piece of my mind...

Toll Free (hopefully it still works)
    1-888-221-1161
    1-888-204-4481

http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_contact-phone This is their page that is 100% unfindable from their web site and it has a local number...
    1-402-935-2050
and then I also have found two others local numbers...
    1-402-935-7733
    1-402-935-2057

PayPal makes me a little nervous, hopefully I won't have any problems.

Lol I still use Paypal because I have no other option.
Really, I live in the UK, and how am I suppose to receive payment from some guy in Australia or USA without it taking 2 weeks by post? There is just no other option that is easy and quick to setup.

I wrote a post about it here and had some guy commenting about how wrong I was to use Paypal! Pretty funny stuff!

paypal froze my account with £3000 in it and after 3 months of completing everything they asked even more than what was on the checklist i got my money back, it is almost as though they dont want you to have a paypal account.

i heard that there is a form on the paypal website that you can fill in to get your money back and it is somewhere on the terms and conditions, i have not found it myself
