Ok hey whats up I am new to this site but it looked really interesting and hopefully I can get a lot of info out of all of you here. Brief history I grew up roofing and stuff with my uncle my whole life I recently got into the Operating Engineers Union so I left the family business. One thing led to another shortly after i left the whole market thing happened peopel have no money family business is closing the doors. He bought a gutter machine about 3 years trailer and everything hook up to my pickup drive to a job cut and drop gutters. Needless to say I am buying it from him I have talked to a bunch of local contractors and found there is a decent sized market for this. So I have the potential of a good sized market, not to mention I do plenty of my own sidejobs for the extra income but I would like to make it into a real business. I can purchase the machine for about 15grand then go right to work. I am thinking I would be a sole proprietor business but some guys I work with have told me to go LLC. I have had mixed reviews and I dont have a clue as to tax numbers and stuff because I have always done things under the table because its just been small but I have the potential to make this big. What should I do?
