    Exclamation Guaranteed Traffic Programs

I'm sure you've seen the ads...1 million visitors in 30 days...Only $29.95 They're called E-mail Blasts and Guaranteed Traffic Programs, and this is your warning: They're SCAMS!!!

So if you've been thinking about doing an e-mail blast or purchasing traffic from one of those guaranteed traffic programs, save your money. Why? Because it's nothing more than garbage traffic or a totally useless e-mail list, which is SPAM.

How do I know? Because I've tested these programs - for myself and for my clients. I knew going in the programs didn't work. Common sense told me that. But I wanted to make sure I did my homework before I wrote this article. Anyway, here's the company I purchased the traffic from:

    Guaranteed Visitors - Home

Here are the results of those tests:

On four different ocassions, for four different clients, I purchased 10,000 supposedly targeted pop-under ads for $89 from Adminder, the most popular of the guaranteed traffic programs. I then sat back and observed.

Approximately thirty days and over 40,000 visitors later, my clients had made zero sales. None! Nada! Zilch! My own personal results were just as dismal.

Why no sales? Because the quality of traffic was absolutely horrendous. Let me explain:

All four of the aforementioned clients gave me full access to their raw data logs. Guess what I discovered. All of the traffic was coming from poor and impoverished third world countries and porn sites. Even more telling was the fact that the average time each visitor stayed on each site was mere seconds - in some case milli-seconds. In other words, they were simply clicking on the URL and then leaving immediately.

Again, if you've been thinking about purchasing an e-mail blast or guaranteed traffic program, I implore you... DON'T! As the saying goes, "garbage in, garbage out!"

You've been warned. Remember, "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't."

Thanks, Jonathan! I know for a fact that most of the members here don't have a lot of money. I've been in marketing for 20 years. I've pretty much seen and done it all, so I know what time it is. I just don't want to see anyone get ripped-off, that's all.

do you know any traffic providers that are good?
You're quite welcome, DuVal. The best advice I can give you is to stick with known, proven entities like Google, Yahoo and MSN. Don't be a guinea pig for new and untested programs. And remember..."if it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't."

    Hi

I thought about buying one of the websites that did this, I understood the concept but not the fact that all of the traffic was crap so I dont think I will be buying that now. However I am still considering another business that would basically provide software that would send traffic, do you have any experience with that.

You're quite welcome, Edward. There are no legitimate e-mail blast programs.

Building traffic takes time and hard work, unless you are willing to buy traffic via pay-per-click, ezines or other sources.

Great post Dale, very imformative as usual!

There are even programs that actually send fake hits to your website. I bought into this type of scam a while back, I bought 100,000 hits on ebay. Each hit wasn't even for a second and all comming one after another for 24hours. They used some kind of program.....Anyway, not one sale out of all 100,000 lol

Watch out for these traffic scams everyone.

Thanks, Lisa! You're right. There are scripts that will send fake traffic to your website. It's amazing the lengths some people will go to to rip people off.

    i actually disagree

i've been advertising my business on adminder for about three months now, and on the IP traces i've done i have found that about half of the hits are from first world nations...but either way the quality of the traffic doesn't matter that much as long as you have LOTS of it....for example..i average 1 sale out of every 1775 hits generated by adminder...HORRIBLE conversion rate, yes, BUT...at an average profit of 33.65 per sale do the math...250000 hits divided by 1775 = 141 paying customers.....141 multiplied by average profit of 33.65 = 4744.65 minus about 1100 for the ads...=3644.65 per month, which is more than a lot of people i know even make at all, AND this is only my side business...with adminder i only spend about an hour every two weeks on the computer and it's basically free money...now do the math at a million visitors and your eyes might bug out.....something to think about huh?...just make sure you have a product that people want...

Nothing against you personally... but I would feel better about your claim if you had some testimonials on your site. Real people with their business domain listed on the site that I can go contact and verify the results.
