    Got Blog?

    Hello Everyone!

I hope you all are having a great day!
I wanted to post this thread to ask you all if you have your own personal blog. I have been experimenting with blogs to help market my business and I am getting a good response.

The way I see it...Most people when promoting their business they always portray the "Drink My Juice" "Eat my vitamins" "Use my product" etc...While people really don't know anything about the person.

With blogs...it is the simple, most effective way to build a relationship with someone without directly talking to them. Building relationships in business is crucial.

Since we are all entrepreneurs we all know about the concept of leverage....Well a blog is something that leverages your relationship building side of you and your business..

I have just launched my blog last month and its been great so far!

Here is my blog address: http://scottgbradley.blogspot.com

Let me know what you think, and feel free to post your blogs if you have one to this thread!

If you don't have a blog, that is OK too...To start your own go to www.blogger.com, sign up, and start posting! It is a lot of fun!

    Enjoy!
    Scott

Scott, what you're doing is great

I used to have a shop called hotblog. It was a blogging application marketed to small and micro businesses

I know more than a bit about blogging

At the rate that you're posting you're gonna burn out

keep your posts under 200 words and write for the sole purpose of linking to other bloggers

example: you wanna network with an entrepreneur in Australia. you find http://www.scotttaylor.eu/, then you write a post "Scott Taylor's ideas about non disclosure agreements are interesting. What Scott says compares well to Brad Feld's thoughts. Here's a copy on an NDA I've used recently. ".

Then you email both Scott and Brad saying "Thanks guys, I really liked your posts, wanna meet up for lunch to discuss a deal?"

Got it? Do this for 6 months and you'll greatly benefit from your blog.

Stop writing these long winded essays that no one reads or cares about.

If you keep writing them, you're gonna burn out

Hey scott, great blog. Like Akula said, I would write less because at the rate you are writing, you probably burn out. Instead of writing 1 long posts, you can break it up into 2 smaller posts.

I had a blog, but it wasn't serving any purpose. If I had something to say, I'd say it - but I don't really have anything to say.

We have a "business blog" and I have a personal blog, both hosted on our own servers. Usually it is better this way because if something were to happen, you have a backup. I have read a few threads where people were suspended because they were spamming their own blog with too many links to their sites.

We also use a few blog tools - one I really like is My Blog Log. It has helped find new readers etc. As usually, I have my personal community and the merchant account community. Feel free to join - I have seen a good increase in readers since I joined.

Thank you everyone for giving me your feedback about my blog. I truly appreciate the time you took to read my posts.

What post stuck out to you the most, and what did you like about it?
    ********

I can understand how some of you may feel like I write too much, while others feel it is just fine.

I look at my blog this way...
-It is the easiest way to build a relationship with someone, and will attract awesome like minded people to me

-It is something that tells stories and provides value from my personal life and experience

-I am looking to "give freely" to my readers from writing this blog, and help as many people as I can with their self growth and business...I know it will come back in more ways than one.

-It is a way for me to brand myself...because we all know we are our greatest asset to our business...and without maintaining relationships and growing new ones our business can...and will hit a wall.

-It is a way for people to know what I am up to, and what I am working on...further helping others understand where I am coming from and what i am doing...

-It is showing others that what I talk about can be applied to their life, and further help them reach the goals they are setting for themselves.

Feel free to contact me if you want to exchange links. I would love to do that as it will benefit both of us. I love creating win/win situations with others in my network. The way I see it...my network is your network, and we are all after the same goal....helping millions and achieving financial freedom.

Have a great day everyone and again thank you for your comments!
