Goop by Gwyneth Paltrow is NOT a good website

Yahoo featured an article about Gwyneth Paltrow launching a new website. Being a web developer I had to check it out. I was rather disapointed. It isn't very user friendly and to be quite honest, it was boring.

I give it an instant fail because the entire site is done in Flash, instead of using Flash as elements of an HTML site.

I'd say Paltrow has very little to do with the site other than actually telling her publicist to go ahead with it and make it for her... and then that person palmed the job off to someone that they met at a Hollywood party who said they had a nephew that makes websites.
It's got that kind of feel, you know?

From the review, the essays are sort of vapid and idiotic. I'm not saying that she didn't write them. She very well could have, since Hollywood actors tend to be rather airheaded. But it's possible that the website designer wrote them, or one of his friends. In that case, they don't reflect well on Paltrow. If you want to have somebody write in your name, you need somebody who can actually WRITE.

She does really good as an actress but she needs to learn more on how to create a user friendly website with interesting contents.
