Google Drives Shoppers, While Yahoo! Drives Buyers

on the diffrence between YPN and Adwords

apparently, YPN is heaps better for online retailers

I'm not sure if the diffrence is the result of randomness...but it does seem statistically significant

Interesting stats! YPN is limited to US at the moment and originally people could decided what type of ads to put on there site like with domain parking. But, once ypn gets more known and opens its doors to other countries too then i think the stats will be really interesting.

    i wonder why that is

Those are interesting stats. However, I have seen the opposite with Google vs Yahoo. Several of the members on our site have reported the same as G being better. They get clicks on both, but Yahoo is very low for their conversions. I wonder if one is better for a type of product. Maybe services or large items are better for Yahoo conversions, but smaller product items like the type you might sell through your site or eBay or Amazon get more Google buys.

I do not have any numbers to back that up, but I have heard from a few people selling dropship products and they now use Google almost exclusivly.

It would be interesting if a research firm conducted a more specific breakdown of what exactly people were buying through the two service options (G vs Y).
