kids, here's some homework

go to http://www.google.com/patents

find some interesting patents that aren't getting commercialised (there's millions)

contact the assignee and try to sell them!

patents don't get listed on ebay

make a business out of listing other people's patents on ebay

you'll make millions

do you know how much someone would pay to buy the rights to a machine for slicing unpeeled apples into rings

the patent would make a great novelty gift!

You can also contact your local university or tech giant. Universities obtain many patents each year, most of which do not get used. I have the advantage of having HP and Mircon Tech headquarters where I live, who also patent thousands of concepts annually, actually using very few. I attended a VC convention where HP came seeking entrepreneurs to use their patented technology for small licensing fees. Many of these patents have tremendous potential, but are outside their operating capacity. HP had even done all the market research and was looking for someone to produce one of their patented technologies to sell to them! Doesn't get much easier to land a deal with a company of that stature. So many opportunities out there.
