    Good Source for Business Cards?

    Hey all,

Well, I can finally say that my website/start up is going to be launching soon (by March) and I would like to get some good branding media together. Does anyone know a good, cheap source for business cards?

I essentially need to have a blank card and put my own design on it, both sides. I want the quality something along the lines of moo.com, but without the price tag.

Staples, Office Depot and the like primarily farm their printing work out. You might as well go straight to the source.

I've used these guys for a lot of printing.

Business Cards | Full Color Printing | Posters | Brochures | Digital Printing from Smart Levels Media Probably cheap enough to make up for any shipping charges you would incur.

That is exactly what we did with Business Cards & More at PrintsMadeEasy.com. Very high quality, able to design your own, and only shipping costs for the first 250.

We designed our own, using our own logo and layout, and had them send 250 samples free (though we did pay for shipping). Now that we already have them designed, we will be able to use either the same company or a cheaper alternative to print more.

I use Vista Print Premium, they have templates or you can upload your own design. They have provided excellent customer services with fast delivery. Search online for promo codes for discounts.

(If you want free business cards, Vista Print offers free business cards, but on the back of the cards it says "vista print" so in a sense in exchange for your free business cards, you're promoting their website. I would not recommend it because your first impression is your business card, you don't want to be known as a business that is too cheap to spend on money on basic marketing such as business cards.)

The backs of ours are blank, but I'm pretty sure we could have printed our own info on the backs had we chosen to do so.

In any aspect of business, marketing plays a critical role. A kick-butt marketing campaign effectively creates brand awareness and communicates specific principles of the company. No matter how good and creative your products or services are, without an effective marketing strategy your business won't be any good.

But contrary to popular belief, creating a good marketing campaign doesn't cost a lot. You simply need to find out the cost effective means of promoting your business. A good marketing strategy to consider is business cards. In an instant, a good business card will give you effective visual identity and promote your products and services to people. Even the most successful business owners today still make use of business cards despite the growth of Internet marketing. As an amateur and startup business, you might want to follow the strategy of these big-time businesses to effectively get good market exposure.

We are all entrepreneurs or small business owners for the most part. Try and support your local small businesses. There's privately owned printing shops in most communities. It may cost more, but you're supporting your own. Plus, nothing can compare to doing business face-to-face.

Vistaprint for your first batch, once you have the cards and design you like then take it to a proper print house and you can get 1000 business cards for half the price.
I know the guy who owns the local UPS store here, I go to him usually because I got some with a good design from VistaPrint and I get them printed back in color, 2 sided with a decent stock (its not as heavy stock as vistaprint) for $35, which ended up being like $100 off the vistaprint price because when I order cards I usually need them within the week.
