Global opportunities at our finger tips!! I Need help

The true entreprenuer is always asking themselves the same age old question.. What can I do that is relatively new or revolutionary to make lots of $$?? Well, I have a simpler question.. What can I do that has allready been done in the U.S successfully but would be just as successful in another developing country?

I have been in the entreprenuerial business for about 10 years and have had a small manufacturing business, as well other service based businesses that all were moderately successful. I am currently in the real estate business flipping houses, and designing and building single family sub divisions in Florida. Now that you know a little about me, lets talk about the opportunity at hand.

I am packing up and moving to Costa Rica in four months to begin exploring and developing business opportunities. What I need is partners and ideas of what to do down there? There is cheap labor, fairly lax laws pertianing to working conditions etc. Cheap taxes, (much cheaper than U.S) Corporate America has allready been setting up shop overseas for years, now it's time for the mom and pop sector to take advantage. Do you have outsourcing ideas that need foriegn assistance. What can we export/import/manufacture over there that would give us a competitive advantage over here? The global economy is the next frontier and it's right in front of us!!!! Let hear your ideas, and how I can help!!

Someone told me a while back that chicken and pigeon business is good in Costa Rica. I was told that if you set up a chicken or pigeon farm there, you can sell them to the U.S. market. Is that true.

Partners to give you ideas? What would we get? And how would the partnership work?

or what if you set up a racoons farm there? i'm just trying to brain storm some ideas here as requested.

On a serious note though; I don't know what kind of business can prosper in Costa Rica, other than may be tourism. I'm more familiar with Europe, Asia, North America, and Africa.

yes, the chicken business is still big in the U.S., just that a few months ago, it was on CBS Evening News that "they" made a deal that chicken farmed in the U.S. for the U.S. market, grown here in the US, but are first sent to China for processing and then back to U.S. for retailing, weird but that's how it is.

The chicken whose meat you eat, is farmed in the U.S., it is first sent to China for processing, and then back to US for retailing.

You may have misunderstood my point

My goal for the posting was to network with likeminded individuals that may have business ventures in the U.S that "could" be prosperous in Costa Rica, but would need a reliable contact over there for their business to run properly. I have several sources of investment capital if anyone has any businesses that could be "franchised" or started there. I have been several times, and the country is on the verge of a major real estate boom. Mostly retirees and americans/U.k that are looking to retire. But when you go there and see the lack of services for these people it would open your eyes to business opportunities such as: home health care products (Oxygen, wheel chairs, Handicap products distribution). The boom has allready staretd the subdivisions, and communities are allready being built (Thuosandsof homes and high rise condos) It is commonly known in real estate that "RETAIL FOLLOWS ROOFTOPS" So that being siad, the opportunity is knocking at the door..... The country is ripe for all kinds of businesses the most basic ones you can think of. What I am trying to do is help facilitate you "entrepreneurs" in setting some businsses up over there. You would provide the ideas and expertise, and I would provide the capital, and manpower to get them up and running. Once there profitable there will be a host of retirees and mid aged american's looking to buy the businesses. I am not sure if you are aware of this but foriegners moving over there cannot get jobs they have to run their own business. So lets start some businesses, and sell them to these newbies.
