I think you should seriously work on changing the template. There's something about going to a forum and seeing the standard phpBB template that most start up forums using that software have. A side project of mine is http://www.gonights.com, and our programmer worked hard to make the template look different from the traditional template.

I'm trying to keep the expenses down to minimum, ie hosting fees, domain. Suggestions that I'm looking for are with different topics for the forum or anything else that I can do. Thanks though

There is templates that you use to get away from the PHP part. Plus, if you are good with Gimp. You can pull down the image with your own logo. It is a lot to explain in a forum post.

Basic things I can probably edit myself, but coding in PHP is a problematic thing.
    Thanks

    Change your logo at least.

    http://www.mensandwomensforum.com/fo...logo_phpBB.gif

"logo_phpBB.gif" Just replace this file with your logo on your host. No Big.

Make the logo file the demensions of 200 x 91 to ensure theres no forced size changes by the file.

Other then that, jump start the posts, even if you have to create psuedo members and have conversations with yourself

Also, if you plan on having it link directly to the forum, I would either setup a splash screen or a index.html that links directly to the forum, www.mensandwomensforum.com instead of /forum.
