Getting Sales Leads for e-Mail Marketing

Hey all.

How did you build or obtain your mailing list? Where do I get sales leads without paying $900k? Any free databases -- or ways to get interested prospects for e-mail marketing purposes?

Get master resell rights for a product, and then write a sales letter offering the product for free for their email address. Then promote it like crazy, in your forum sig, with articles etc.

I am doing this, and my list is slowly growing its about 30 at the moment and thats just from my forum sig in a couple of forums.

These leads come from a number of sources are complied and tested before sale. They are generated form conference attendee lists, form filled leads, ect...
