Get off your butt and start something already

    Hey all!

I like to read entrepreneurial quotes and found a good one that applies to a lot of would-be entrepreneurs. It is pretty straightforward, and very true.

“The critical ingredient is getting off your butt and doing something. It’s as simple as that. A lot of people have ideas, but there are few who decide to do something about them now. Not tomorrow. Not next week. But today. The true entrepreneur is a doer, not a dreamer”
    - Nolan Bushnell, founder of Atari and Chuck E. Cheese’s

Anybody have trouble getting off your butt and doing something you really want to do?

    Cheers,
    Brian

Yea, the comfort zone is a scary place.

It's going to be interesting to see whether or not this down economy spurs on people to get off their butts and start something...because they lose their job, are short on cash ---are removed from their comfort zones.

That's true. You should get out of your comfort zone in order to achieve success.
I knew I should have stuck to poker.

Great advice. The main challenge is getting out of that comfort zone. Not gonna lie, its hard and its scary to leave that zone. IMHO i think that the best way to get out of that comfort zone is sit down, and look at how great it will be once you succeed at what you are trying to do. Try not to dwindle on the negative parts of it (but dont completely ignore them because if you do you might miss a vital part and end up screwing yourself).

There is nothing worse than twenty years down the road when you are sitting at your same old boring job make just over minimum wage wondering about what would have happened if you had just gotten off your butt and did something!
