garbage business.. roll offs and garbage general

hi i live in a small town of 60k known as rapid city south dakota.

and i was wondering if i got into the roll off dumpsters and front load dumpsters how much would it cost to get a good business going?

whats the best way to get started?

how would i dump the garbage?could i just burn it?

i think it might be city owned can this be? or can i still jump in ?

ive only seen one company and its fish garbage i was thinking it might be city owned

Most likely it is city owned and o i think burning the garbage is illegal in most cities, check with your local mayor!

I researched this business alot and have talked to many roll off businesses. Break even is two years and start up capital is around 60-80k. Profit margins are low, and you wont make much money unless your moving alot of volume and have a sorting station which costs a lot because you need to buy land. Your best bet is to buy an already established roll off business if you can find one.

Doesn't work that way, dumping fees are expensive and to get a business like this off the ground you would need to work full time on it. It better to buy roll off's new because most of the used ones need a lot of work. If you want a part time gig you want to look at another business.

got any ideas that would rake in some extra cash? i was even looking at gutter machine, my bro did that and racked in like 250 a weekend.

i thought these roll offs would be a good investment. im only 20 atm and i plan on marrying my gf whos going to college atm. when we get are bills paid for and house paid for, then i was gonna invest money into something like this or portier potties... if i had 50k in the bank i thought it would be a good idea even if i dont use right away i could hold off on them and wait for customers and build up slowly
