Funding Sources

I am a new member and just want to get ideas from young entrepreneur's who have started a business or older people who started young, to find out what options they considered for funding and which options worked and which options just flopped. I am a young entrepreneur and I think that this is one of the main things that will scare off unique ideas from ever gaining momentum. I feel this topic can not be brought up enough. Discuss.....

There are many different ways to fund a business with the assumption that you exclude funding it yourself as an option.

1. Family or close friends

2. Small Business Loans

3. Angel Investors

4. Venture Capitalists

5. Government grant programs

6. Credit Cards

These are just a few; probably the most common. If you need me to expand on any +'s and -'s just ask. Most are pretty blunt...
