Arrow From Start-up to passive income...anyone done this?

I know seeing how we are all young and this process usually takes time that it might be unlikely, but has anyone here started up a business and eventually turned it into almost relatively passive income? I'm not really talking about blogs or forum websites, but actual e-commerce or other types of businesses. I would most applaud a service business, as I would think this would be the hardest (the boat I'm in).

For example, I own a printing company. While I've been coding and programming to automatic large portions of my business, I still oversee or perform the majority of the printing. Has anyone gotten their business to the point where they only spend a few hours a week and are making the same amount as they we're before? Much like the author of the "4 hour work week" book.

Anyone have any success stories they'd like to share?

    Michael

Hey--why don't you hire someone trustworthy to do the blue collar work for you? Do you have enough cash flow for it?

That's what I would suggest aswell. Good cheap labor, if you can afford it.

    If not, advertising is passive...

I guess I should have clarified... by printing I meant printmaking... and when artists sell what your making for hundreds of dollars a print its hard to find a printmaker who can achieve my standards for less than what it costs me.

Fortunately, no blue collar labor here :-)
