Forming a Business, but living at home?

Is it possible, or legal... to start a business (LLC) if you don't own the place of business?

I want to register the business using my home address. The home belongs to my mother.

If this isn't possible, are there any alternatives? Renting an apartment seems a little, much... but, if that's my ONLY option.

    Your thoughts?
    I'm 21, for the record.

running a business from home is fine. You usually need to register for a permit before you get your business license. They just ask simple questions about the number of people coming to your business ect.

For those of us working soley online having a home registered is best. As you are able to write off the square footage of the home that you use for your business.

Probably no reason to get an LLC at this point. Get a dba from the county and get a bank account. You can work from anywhere
