    Exclamation Food Trailers, anybody?

    Hi,
As I'm located in a small European country and the only fast food restaurants here are the McDonalds, I was slowly considering an idea of franchising something that has already proved itself in the US, such as SubWay or TacoBell.

When a better idea popped out - why to buy or rent the place if I can sell food from a trailer(s).

    pros:
    - minimal investment
    - maximal mobility, if there are no customers in one place, I can move it to the other

    cons:
    - people might think that food off a trailer is of a lower quality then the one from a fixed place

As for the menu, I was thinking of something Taco-like. When a salesgirl would be placing what a customer wants into an already made taco form.

What do you think? Maybe someone has already worked in that direction? What do you think could be the selling potential of such trailers?

    Thanx!

I don't know what it is like in Europe but over here in the ol US pretty much all you can sell from a moving vehicle is ice cream. they have the occasional hot dog truck i guess...but i think most people (i know i do) equate it with buying a hot dog from a gas station. some people must buy them or they wouldnt exist..but it certainly doesnt have mass appeal.

There's nothing wrong with a food trailer, but it has to look GOOD.

maybe it depends on what part of the country you are in too. im in westchester county which is...i think still...the richest county on the east coast...so the populace generally frowns on trailers of any sort over here.
