Hi experts!

We are two students that in the last 6 month have investigate the market for LED-products. Primarily DIY replacement products, where you replace your existing light source, e.g. halogen, with a LED light source. Examples of products could be GU10, MR16 replacement or LED strips.

We are now in the process of starting up a company but need a supplier in China/Taiwan or similar to produce the products.
The technical level of the products are not that high, and a lot of western companies have definitely made a similar search for a reliable supplier among the thousands of supplier.

So what we need is a big, reliable supplier that already are producing to EU/USA and therefore live up to all the standards. We are searching for a high quality supplier with 2-3 years of warranty. Actually we are just interested to get the results from other similar searches, e.g. from a Trade organization, to avoid an extensive and expensive search ourself!

Now the big question is - how do we find such a supplier? We have triet Tradekey, Alibaba and so on, but to find the right supplier seems hard. We need help to get some kind of overview of the big number of supplier from a person/organization with local experience.
For us as a small company it seems like looking for a needle in the proverbial haystack...

Do you know a Trade Organization? Perhaps non-profit? Or do anyone have concrete tips for finding a supplier?
