Finding an electrical manufacturer in china

Okay, so lately I have been mulling over various ideas and deciding upon which one to focus upon, production is my main concern for one of them at the moment, If I can get a price then I can judge suitability for it. I need to find a manufacturer in China that I can send in my electrical diagram and my visual design to and get a price on. Does anybody have any reputable contacts or any info for me? Thank you.

Check out Foxconn. They do work for many of the major electronics brands you see on shelves today.

Avoid alibaba and while Foxconn is heavy in electronics, that is not the same as electrical. iPhones are not blenders or motors.

Actually, your best bet is GlobalSources. They actually research the people who list there and they don't sell "gold memberships" like alibaba does, let alone have any scammers, which alibaba is full of.

BUT - keep in mind you are dealing with people who do not honor patents and copyrights, so it is best to have a professional handle your dealings when it comes time to turn over the drawings. If you don't your product may be the hit item next Christmas and you will have nothing to show for it.

Global Sources. The only place the verify the manufacturers. Protect yourself.

Did a little research and many people said the same thing, that they are notorious for stealing intellectual property. Hence the reason I thought it may be easier to find a manufacturer in the UK, I have the diagram, what I need is someone to produce it. It's part of a market that should be popular in the UK but only one person has realised it's potential and sells their products on eBay quite successfully. I would like a more professional looking part to sell to people in the trade who install this sort of thing.

I would use a reputable sourcing agent (such as my company ). \\ Dealing with companies through websites is risky since all business in China is done in cash. Electronics are double risky because there is a good chance they will not be quality controlled properly and you will end up with a bunch of products that do not work.

If you would like to discuss the process of finding a factory in China more in depth or if any of this sounds interesting please feel free to contact me through my website in my signature.

There nothing wrong with using Alibaba. I did, made some friends over there through my experiences.

Some companies accept credit cards as well.

You do need to research the company you find by checking out their websites aside from Alibaba.

Gold memberships are ridiculously expensive for scammers to pay for.

There is good and bad with everything... sometimes you just need to go with your gut.
    Have a great day.

If you look on the Alibaba scam discussion board what happens is that scammers compromise the email account of the gold supplier and then use it to post fake products.

Stay clear of Alibaba, their only concern is have you sign up for their golden membership which costs the price of gold literally.

Another scam to stay clear of is Bayt.com. This website is a money making scheme. They initial services are free and then they force you to pay $250 to create a CV or remain jobless. This is not fair, this is fraud, the are cheating people out of the money they rather use to survive in the countries that $250 really matter.

I have found out the owners name, its Rabea Ataya, this guy is a fraud, scam. He has a very bad reputation in the GCC countries for coming up with money making scams. I did some search on the web and found a lot negative articles on Bayt.com and I am not sure how they can still have an office in Dubai.

There is a way to complain to the UAE authorities its called Al Ameen Services Al Ameen complain here if your have lost $250 for Bayt.com CV creating service.
