    Recent Bans

We are trying to keep our site spam free and as clean as possible.
We are all about 'competition' and truly believe in it. It makes us all stronger. It seems as though several members want to start their own forums now and branch off on their own. Sure, go for it. But don't try and SPAM our members or try and talk bad about YE to our members. Yes, we have had some spam on this site in the past but since we have brought on several new mods, the spam has gone down quite a bit. Its hard to catch EVERY single spam immediately but we do try and get to them all.
What we are NOT all about is the HUGE negativity and unethical tactics to try and "bring YE down" which is apparently some of our previous members new entrepreneurial goals. We have been around since 1999 and as it is quite evident, there are several members that DON'T appreciate our FREE forum that we have tried diligently to keep things as helpful as possible for over 8 years. We encourage all business forum topics on YE, not these non-sense threads that have recently come about. On that note, YE is looking for site manager (Paid Position) to handle some of the workload to continually increase the quality and help with our new ideas that we will be implementing. Please PM me with your experience with Vbulletin and your ideas and interest.

Here are a couple of reasons why the members that you have asked about are now banned. We don't need this kind of 'entrepreneurial member' on our site. Their initiatives to belong to our forums have obviously changed.

    Sample Reasons:

"Down with youngentrepreneur.com" (this is the signature of one of the members who were banned)
"Things aren't looking good for YE and now is the time to take them down."
Reason #1: A goal of these members who have recently been banned have been creating a 'strategy' to 'take YE down'.

"be sure to put a ycf link in your YE sig"
Reason #2: (encouraging people to break the YE forum rules)

If you need more detailed examples, please feel free to PM me.

    Thanks,

    Adam T.

    lol

I don't even know why you're worried so much

by banning members you reinforce the negativity which you're trying to eradicate

by banning members you're ultimately doing your self harm by playing into the hands of people you're trying to defeat.

adam, you may want to consult with someone on the nature of these things because you're possibly making classic public relations mistakes and not doing justice for your own and shareholder interests.

banning members who join other forums is not the best way to handle the hazards you're trying to deal with

for one thing - the enemies who try to bring you down, are the best people who you should be recruiting. enemies are much better partners than friends because they're gonna fight not to lose face. likewise, by recruiting an enemy you kill two birds with one stone - you get rid of the enemy and make a friend.

by alienating them, you're losing control over what they're doing, giving them more resolve and ultimately - they're gonna take out because you've created the ideal circumstances for being taken out

keeping your friends close but keeping your enemies closer is the century old way to successfully deal with the situation you're facing
