Fashion Clothing line Questions

Hello everyone, I am a young fashion designer specializing in women’s appeal, my goal is to launch my clothing line fall of 2011 to retail stores, I am hoping to pitch my business idea to department store buyers no longer then December 2010, as of now I have designed the clothes I want to present to the department store buyers, I am in the process of looking for a fashion sketch designer the problem I have is I happen to live in Minneapolis, Minnesota and I am struggling with finding a fashion sketch designer, can anyone assist me with this. Also how long does it take for department store buyers to respond? Look for a Fashion trade organization in your general area. Theyd have all sorts of resources you can look through, as well as networking opportunities. As far as getting your product in front of buyers, itll be best to have them displayed at trade shows, like MAGIC, thats about to be held in Las Vegas in February. Thats where buyers from some of the biggest retailers gather and pick up the latest things for the season. It may be a little late to sign up as an exhibitor, but its worth a trip to see how things are done. Its a surefire way to get your stuff in front of those that can make decisions though.
