Facebook Marketplace
I was wondering if anyone was making money on Facebook's marketplace? It's not quite as glutted with sellers as ebay. And most of the sellers tend to be college students looking to get rid of their old stuff. I see what appears to be several enterprising students but not anywhere as bad as ebay. I was wondering if any young businessmen/woman is making money? I was thinking about buying a few bluetooths (10) and testing whether or not they would sell.

no, I believe myspace is more popular. facebook is definatly growing since they opened up registration to everyone, not just college students.

It did bring traffic to my website. There are some ads that made money.

I don't make money with Facebook Marketplace but I can definitely see how there is potential. For example, you can buy and sell textbooks on Craigslist for pretty dang cheap and mark em up like 15 to 20 bucks and still find buyers depending on how popular the book is.

If I could find a way to find textbooks cheaply, say for about 30-40% of the face value I could probably still make a few bucks selling them on facebook marketplace. However, it's hard to source textbooks.

The facebook marketplace is just like any marketplace, if the demographics show that you will have good opportunity then you should advertise and sell your services there.
For me it wouldn't make sense. People on facebook are not likely to be starting up a website so they wouldn't be needing a logo, web design or development services. Yes, some people on facebook may need that stuff, but the general population is there to have fun and goof off with friends not to find a business to make them a logo.
But if perhaps you have a good photo editing software, digital cameras, fun tshirts or other goods that the people who use facebook are more likely to use I see it being an excellent place to sell.
