Facebook fan invitation services, whats your opinion?

If you guys haven't seen them yet they've been popping up alot lately. They are websites like buyfbinvites.com, fanadder and so forth. They are businesses where you can buy facebook invitations or friends.

What are your opinions on these services? Think can be successful on a bigger scale?

I think you need to understand what you want out of these services. If all you want is raw traffic and hits to get up in google ranking then they have their place. For sustaining a long term blog or business they dont add much. these are randomly generated and these people that are added may or may not want the product/service you are offering. stay focused and expect nothing besides raw hits and fans from such services

google will figure this out and will adjust ranking at some point to figure in such "inaccurate" statistics i think. just be ready for that to happen.

for now if it is cheap and fits your business model. heck yeah go for it

I agree with Jake. These services do not add much value to your business unless your primary revenue stream from your site is ads. Instead of spending money to make your blog or site appear popular, I suggest you invest the money into making a small number of people whom you are targeting happy. Make them demand more from you. In the long run, these people will be the 20% who will contribute to 80% of your revenue.

    I hope this helps
