Everyone, check this business idea out.

Ok, so This is kind of shady.
But, everyone has heard of tele-fundraisers. I came across a friend who works for one, and I guess the company only has to give a certain percent to the actual cause. He said the average tele fundraiser made between 300-400 every 2 hours so about 100-200 per hour, and If you only have to give 10-15% you would be making alot of bank.

I asked him how much he thought it would cost to get in the business-

    8k for dialer
1-2k in rent for a good size office.
if I paid 12 people 8.00$hr.+commission--40 hours a week.==for all 12 employees=3,840$ and if they all can make 100$ an hour==48,000$ and If I only have to give 10-15% to the organization- under a couple grand, so really i would be making around 35k profit a month if done right.
    3-5k for computers
    1-2k for system.
    3k extra stuff.
    So a grand total of
    ---------------------
20,000$ to get into and generate 30-40,000$+ a month.

Does anyone know about the telefundraising business or anything I should or need to know?

I will be goign to SCORE soon to discuss it.

Sounds shady. Have you checked with your local laws to insure the company you got this information from is telling you the truth and your not going to be breaking the law?

This is indeed legal, and is usually the case when you are called by what you think are rescue squads and police organizations. However, many consumers view these as unethical organizations, and are starting to ask whether the telemarketer is calling on behalf of one of these organizations.

Another interesting thought: how much will marketing cost you? After all, it won't be easy going up against entrenched players in a market like this.

Thanks Justin, Sounds like a lot of money one can make with the telemarketing. But does anyone actually talk to tele marketers anymore?

C'mon man, are you even trying? Taking advantage of people like this is such a sketchy and unethical thing to do. Fundraisers should be non-profit, not make money for the people running it.

This I know, But I don't have the edge. I don't have the rich uncle, or the property tycoon in my family. I have like 2 connections and I don't think I am in the right place for networking. I try everywhere I go. It is shady, but If I did make alot of money, I would donate it well.

I plan to make it Under my big Corporation I am gonna make.

unethical ya sorta.. but is sort of an interpretation also.. think about it this way..

Without your 15% donation.. that charity would actually never have gotten that money.. maybe that 15% will save a kids life or put him through school etc etc.. your just chargin the rest as a fee to get them that donation!

Or look at it this way.. its like selling drugs.. you might F up alot of peoples lives, but if you didnt do it someone else would anyways.....

Anyways im not saying its ok to go ahead and do that, just stating the big picture and the sometimes hard to accept truth

Donating money does not cure a guilty conscience....but I'll leave it at that.

I like the company name, but are you sure there's not already a Unify Inc. out there?

As for the slogans, I personally think they're quite gay (sorry, I'm in a blunt mood tonight! ). Come up with something unique! I know you're more creative than that.

Well, thier is a unify inc I think, but depending on what state it is in, and what the business description is you can still have one.

and Ya I like slogans, but I am trying to think of something that means Unify.

Because, my slogan could go with all my branches.

Instead of a them centered around the word 'unify,' why not come up with something related to the word 'fusion?' It sounds more current, and a slogan would be more easily developed. It also doesn't sound as stodgy as Unify.
