i've had my 'puter hacked before...never a website. I would be extremely pissed at my host if that happened. Even worse a clients website!!!

Yeah you were down there for a while Daniel. YE Blogger was fine except for the images/css etc.
Did you workout how they managed to hack it? (or perhaps your host)

yeah...the host got cracked
this particular hacker targets hostgator.com....apparently
i dunno how he did it
he stole heaps of bandwidth during the 3 days that he had
i have no idea what he used it for, but he maxed out well over 100 gigs

I use network solutions...there advanced package is awesome. The only thing I have a problem with is only 6 databases allowed. I never have to worry about security with them....they're the "big dogs." In fact I think only GoDaddy does more business then them.
I should be getting paid to say this! I am gunna go check and see if they have an affiliate or referral program.

yup ive been hacked i wondered why my visitors dropped, i than checked and and every time i went on my site it redirected to another site, checked html code and seen someone had changed it.
Thats the second upset hostgator.com have given us - I don't know why you stick with them - I would have dropped them like a hot potatoOriginally Posted by akula
