Entrepreneurs and Politics? Poll, most active or not?

Just wondering what you guys though on the YE forums, not really an important question. Although maybe I'am making a completly stuipid observation, but it seems like most entrepreneurs, younger are not interested in really whats going on. Maybe not like active, but just more interested in buisness. But maybe its just younger entrepreneurs?

I'am not really active myself I just watched the debate, but not to into as most rather just focus on buisness, whats your random rant about entrepreneurs and politics obvservation?

I am very much into politics. I don't want to start anything, but I would like to say that it's a real shame here in the U.S. that so far neither the Republicans nor the Democrats actually have a real person running.

Well, Politics have a close relationship with Business, as even if the classical capitalist affirmation "The Government can't act in the economic market" is still applied, most of governments decisions have direct consequences on the economy, so you have to follow very well the international politic life to be able to predict, more or less, the future roads of this or that economy.

    Agreed.

On the subject I generally have a very cold/harsh view of politics so I keep my mouth shut!

Me myself... I only look at the presidential candidates view on the economic and taxes and healthcare status that we have, that is probably the only time I look at politics, other then that I'm not a fan of it.

I generally watch anything that might cause a change in my business practice such as taxes, restrictions, etc.

    hm interesting,

now that I've been interacting with more people, abunch of real estate investors have been taxing about some bad laws that could get passed in Oregon, which would elimate 75% of mortgage loans, to anyone but full documention loans with high taxable income.

    ---

It now seems like, from my views that alot of entrepreneurs are in it, and in a sense, have to be just because if they are in buisness, you have to know what is going on, and generally entrepreneurs are sharper and maybe more intent and interested in whats going on and going to affect their buisness and lifestyle.

I would assume most entrepreneurs are into politics. Cause of my age, I can only be involved so much, but I do my best to to follow it.

Like pbradish I also have a harsh view of politics, but unlike him I don't keep my mouth shut...how do you change anything if you keep your thoughts to yourself?
