    Enterprise Systems/Programs

Does anyone use an Enterprise system and would care to share?
If anyone doesn't know what I'm talking about, its a central system (usually with a database) that ties your front office programs to your back office programs. For example, Quickbooks can be used as a basic enterprise system to handle everything from order entry to invoices to accounting.

If you are using one let me know what type of business you have (retail/e-commerce/etc)

Are you wanting to use this for your Printing company?

I have built many in the past and currently don't have the use for them. However, if you want this for billing, invoices, your company finances etc. There are plenty of them out there. PLENTY of free ones as well.

If you have a server I would recommend learning a bit of SQL, atleast enough to install the server software. Then I would recommend browsing Open-sourced websites for the software you need. These sites will allow you to take a test drive of their software. Then you can download and install it yourself.

Examples of stuff I wrote in the past: CLEC/ISP billing/administration software. They had over 8000 customers.

Thanks for the advice, I do have a SQL server and a database on my site that ties into my quickbooks quite nicely. The software I have is sufficient to handle what I'm doing now, not to the point I really need an enterprise system, just curious to see whats out there...
