    Email List

Is there any easy way of getting mass amounts of emails registered in your county?

Email mass mailing is now heavily regulated. Congress passed and Bush signed into law an Act in 2003 that prohibits SPAM.

    So be careful.

Additionally, it's usually not the most effective strategy either.

Might it hurt your brand image though? That's a consideration to take into account.

Hey, it might not. There might be some situations where it is a better choice. It just requires a proper analysis and an understanding of all the effects, you know?

    a Quick snap shot;

it's perfectly legal to send out mass email to people, as long as what you're offering them is legit and AS LONG AS you clearly provide them with a way on how to unsubscribe from you mailing list and you must also provide them with your complete street or P.O Box mailing address, and when they request to unsubscribe from your list, you must honor their request, and that is when the law kicks in, because if you keep sending them SPAM even after they requested that you no longer send them, than they have a case to file a lawsuit against you.

There are LOTS of companies that provide lists. Many of them have ways to target their lists to your needs. If you're serious about it, you have to make sure that the company you use is legitimate.

Also, you said that you're on a budget. The actual conversion rate for mass-emailing cold prospects is usually so low that it is just a waist of money. Just to give you an idea of the conversion, a company I worked with wanted to try a list like this. With their highly targeted list of nearly 2 million people, we actually had about 350 people click through to the website. (.0175% click-through)

Your best bet would be to take the time to get the emails of prospects who want to be contacted from you. This could be visitors from your site who sign up or customers who purchase from you and agree to being signed up for your emails.

Email marketing can be good in light of an overall strategy. You'll need to work with a company who knows what they are doing to avoid filters ect. Further depending on your industry you may or may not have a good way of target ting opt-in lists.

Give me a call and we can talk about it.

You may be best served via direct mail (which you stated you're doing) and providing offers that give aggressive discounting and incentives rather than investing in email marketing. Just some ideas, hope they help.

My experience...emails work if you personalize them. I've tried bulk emails before and they don't work very well. Try networking functions...collect business cards...easiest way is to hand someone yours...most will give you theirs simply because you gave them yours...if not, ask for it. I email people the same day I meet them and tell them what a pleasure it was to meet them...make sure you ask lots of questions about them and don't talk about yourself. Take notes...write down the important details on the back of their business card or a little notebook when they're not looking. I always build a friendship before I offer them anything that I have. I've made tons of money by reading just two books:

Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie

Try it and you'll increase your people skills, contact list, and most importantly...your bottom line (revenue/profits). They're $10 a piece at any book store...free at the library. What an awesome country!!!

    Thanks,

I think that mass emails harm the company's reputation 99 times out of 100. However, there still is that rare exception.
