So I saw the advert here on YE and had a look, the prices looked very good so I ordered a lot, but now I am panicing because i sent payment via paypal, but ebsilk have not confirmed the payment and None of thier contact and tracking links work!

I only ordered today, should I be worried or am I just over reacting?

Worried yes, but to critisise the quality of a good before any proof has been recived is not right in my opinion, its a risk I took, lets see how it plays out

Update:
Payment accepted, being held in Escrow.
Lot has been shipped, however the tracking code does not exist according to the postal service, more worries, I am assuming its just a time lag between systems.

I wish you well, but from much that I have seen about them on dedicated wholesale sources forums, I would not expect too much. In fact, I do not recall seeing anything good about them and know for a fact they have been banned from a number of forums for spamming and selling fakes.

I hope you have a good experience with them. I urge you to be cautious, as a number of Chinese scammers will fill several small test orders with brand name goods, but then when a $2,000 or more order comes in they ship crap and never return messages from that point on.

I've been on wholesale forums for 6 years or more and can tell you all sorts of horror stories. I'll simply say you can do better.

Update: Tracking code still brings up nothing with the mail service, what is the normal shipping time to UK?

Getting worried now, @PeteVA have other people had goods delivered to them?

I paid with a Visa debit card through my paypal account, I am "protected" by the paypal dispute form correct?

I did a few days of research before I ordered, checked the companyw as genuinly registered, but concentrated my research on the margins I could make, comparing ebay prices, amazon other online retailers etc, looking back perhaps I got a bit excited, but lets see how this plays out

There are half a dozen wholesale / dropship sites that I visit daily, and advertise on some. I also moderate one. ebsilk, under all sorts of usernames, has been banned from all that I know of. Like any good Chinese, they come back under a different name, but when someone comes to a wholesale / dropship site and first post starts telling you about this great source they found, you know from the start they a spamming.

People with good sources tend to keep them to themselves, not tell the rest of the entire world about this "great source". While some may tell you by PM, they don't come out and start bragging from their first post.

As a US resident I do dropship from China myself. I have an American in China as a partner. I sell, he runs the back-end. I pretty much know the major players there and can tell you what to expect from most.

I also have a lady there who partners with me doing business verifications. For $27.50 she will visit companies in the Shenzhen area, the major electronics region, and for little more will travel to some other cities within a day's round trip by train.

It is amazing how many "factories" turn out to be apartments.

And how many "trading companies" run down to the markets to buy today what they sold yesterday. So many of those Chinese websites are people sitting at home getting a few orders, going out and buying the stuff and shipping it the next day.

My suggestion is if you are not sure about it, just place a small order to see if everything happens within your expectation. Or you can contact with them directly through online sevice. Ask them questions,check their reliability. Hope you everything goes well.
