    Ebook Creation

Hi, I was wondering if I wanted to create an ebook how would I go about doing that? Would it require me to get permission from the author if it is copyrighted. Any information would be helpful.

I never wrote an eBook before......but, if you are going to 'create' an ebook, I don't know why you'd have to get permission, or give credit, to anyone but yourself........the only think I could see having to get 'permission' for, is if maybe you cited the original author as a source.....then, you'd probably just have to cite the fact that you got a sentence or something from him.........just like a college paper......

I think you definitely need to ask for the permission.

I think you can definetely dublicate books that already exist and put them in an online format. I'm sure however that you would have to make a deal with the original author and publisher which would include giving them credit and I would assume a commision of your sales. I think the idea would become very complicated and I doubt the collection would ever become very large because of the amount of time you would have to spend on each book.
