    eBay stores?

Okay, so this summer I am thinking of getting really serious with starting my on business. I have been reading up on ebay tactics and what not. I am thinking of opening an ebay store. I just want to start the basic kind, the one that costs $15.95 per month. Can one of these stores really be profitable? I have heard to be serious with it you need to work 12-19 hours a day on it, is this ture?

Anyone else here have any experience with an ebay store? If so, please share your experience(s)

    ~Thank you!

I decided not to open a store, simply because I think people still watch the ending soon auctions and buy when items are either newly listed or about to end. I list about 80 items a week and most of them you can purchase and resell yourself on eBay. Check out my listings:
eBay Seller: igniteindiana: Everything Else, Computers Networking items on eBay.com

During a good month I can make about $2k on eBay selling these items.

I've been very profitable on ebay and have an ebay store. I don't use my ebay store to list store inventory anymore, but I use too. I just use the store to help categorize my auctions and make my listings a little easier to find for my customers. 12-19 hours a day is probably a bit high, but ebay is definitely hard work.

Keep in touch with me and let me know if you do decide to do this. I am working on several BANS niche stores, and if You'd be interested, once you get a shop one, I could build a niche store apon JUST your store to help bring in customers.

    Let me chime in here..

I have owned more than 3 different ebay stores all being a success however..

you should start with auctions first if your product does well then get a basic ebay store and work your way up on that ladder from basic to anchor.

I started ebay at a younger than allowed to, I did not sell much as I was young and did not pay taxes however considering I sold about 50-100 items a month in collectibles considering I was limiting amount of revenues to be processed on a monthly basis and could have done better, that was saying something..

Having an eBay store did wonders however I identified the market, how to market to it and how to be more creative than the others.

Can you make it a full time business... yes and no, an ebay business is not going to be any easier than selling on Amazon or locally, yes many aspects are a lot easier however you have a lot more competition as well.

As with any business, you will only get what you put in, if you expect to make hundreds or thousands a month putting in 2 hours a day "good luck".

Now, do you need 19 hours in a day... no.

I have taken the past years of expirence and now I am a web designer and developer and work an average of 15 hours a day.
