Easiest Way to Start an Online Business

My name is Brandon, I am a 23 year old entrepreneur helping to buildChosenList.com, I stumbled across Young Entrepreneur Forums - An entrepreneurial and small business site and thought it would be an awesome opportunity to share a really cool way to start your own online business.

ChosenList.com, the first safe video online resource for classifieds, careers and communities, has launched the Certified Videographer Network or CVN as a way for entrepreneurs to build an entirely new business or just earn income by creating 30-60 second videos to post online using technology as simple as the RCA Small Wonder or Flip cameras that are less than $100 in the stores today.

This is 100% free and there is no cost to be involved.

    FOR EXAMPLE:

Open up your local newspaper and check out the local classified ads. There are thousands of qualified leads all around us. Lets say someone is trying to sell their car in that paper. You can contact that individual, go shoot a 60 second video of that car, upload to the internet and charge $25-$50 for your service. Now that individual has a 60 second commercial online of their car to help them sell it and refer others to check out their video.

As the first "Certified Videographer" I had to test this idea out to make sure it worked and I was EASILY making $50-$100 an hour helping people get videos of their items online. Not everyone has a camera, internet access, the "know-how" or the even the time to upload a video online. Thats where you can come in. We have a few Certified Videographers making over $5,000 a month!

I encourage everyone to check out the website ChosenList.com. There are so many cool applications for this idea. Whether you just want to make some extra money or start your own company and have a group of people doing this. Maybe you just want to shoot videos of stuff you are interested in like off-road vehicles, technology items or antiques you can do whatever you want.

Our office is in the brand new ASU Skysong complex for technology and entrepreneurship. Which has been awesome! But we are expanding across the country with the CVN program and want others to get involved. If the website is not in your city yet just let me know and we can help get that started. We are also GIVING CAMERAS to "Chosen-preneurs" who are really hitting this full steam.

I look forward to chatting with everyone, answering questions and also hearing suggestions about cool new ways to apply this idea.

Feel free to email me at b.moore@chosenlist.com

We have had a lot of press recently and are growing rapidly just Google Chosenlist.com and check us out. We will also be featured on some local news here in Phoenix this weekend!

If you know anyone that might be interested let us know!

This is grand thinking on our part but: In a struggling economy this a true economic stimulus package! We want to create 2 million Certified Videographers in the next 24 months across the nation which is creating brand new jobs and income for individuals who wouldnt normally have had that opportunity. Others who sell their goods through this service and the site are also recieving money (economic stimulus) through what is essentially the recycling of the goods they sell.

Let me know if I'm off my rocker but I don't think we are too far off base here.

Not sure if we are talking the same lingo, but I NEED to make a video for my business to post on YouTube...is that what this does? If so, you may have a market outside of the classifieds.

Great idea. We definitely have categories for that as well. A lot of service professionals are posting videos of themselves like that (real estate agents, business brokers, financial advisors). So you can absolutely post a video of whatever your business offers. And you are already qualifying the people that see if because they already know what they are looking for when they make it to your video on ChosenList.com. Compared to posting it on YouTube you are kind of just out there floating in the middle of the ocean hoping someone is going to find you.

We also do lower cost employment ads. So if you are looking to hire employees instead of paying Jobing.com $4,800 for a 30 day employment video listing you can post a video employment ad of your business through ChosenList.com for $95. The most inexpensive text only ads with Jobing.com and Monster.com are $400.

85% of the emplyment in the U.S. is facilitated by small to medium businesses. Those types of businesses are not going to pay $400-$5000 to run an employment ad online. We are coming into the marketplace with disruptive pricing and there is an untapped market of small to medium businesses that can now utilize the internet to effectively find employees.

I know very little about much of the technical stuff. I'm not the tech team but I can find that out for you.

Contact me. Essentially users can go through the website and sign up. That process is all automated but if they contact me I can really give them a good foundation with the information I have for them to be successful starting out.

Ok so here is an idea. Every person to contact me and get started as a CVN and upload 10 videos gets one of these for FREE:

    RCA Small Wonder

So you are gonna make at least $250 shooting just 10 videos AND I will give you a $100 digital video camera for free.

I know a lot of us here have different projects or things going where you might not be interested in participating but I know there is a good portion of you who wouldnt complain if you made some quick cash on the side OR you might know someone who ould really want to get involved.

After becoming a Certified Videographer and I go out and take videos of the clients items how do they pay and how will we be payed and is this an actual employment by Chosenlist.com or are we worked as contractors. I'm assuming gas to the clients location is payed by the Employee. I think this business is great and will definitely boom in the near future..

You are not employed by ChosenList.com - Clean Content Classifieds, you are not even contracted by us. We merely produce your "Certification" and provide you with a platform for you to create income by shooting and uploading these different video opportunities. Gas is paid by yourself but here is what I did to help alleviate that cost.

First of all when I contacted someone who had something to sell I found out where they were located and adjusted my pricing accordingly. I also broke it down into two categories. The Phoenix metro area is huge but I would break it down into west valley and east valley. I might make phone calls on monday and set all of my west valley appointments for tuesday and all of my east valley appointments for wednesday. That way I wasnt driving back and forth all over town. And I still made the extra income for the people in the west valley because that was a further drive for me.

I would make as much as $50 per video and people were happy to pay it. Compare it to the alternatives. The auto trader magazines they get a horrible, grainy picture and some tiny text next to 1,000 other cars that are the exact same thing and they charge up too $100!. Craigslist they get at least get a color picture but their listing disapears in a day and its two clicks away from the nasty prostitutes and other junk that appears on that horribly unnatractive website. ChosenList.com - Clean Content Classifieds gives people their own full color commercial online of what they are selling. Next to other dynamic relevant content. Not only will visitors see it, the user can refer others to the video and use it proactively as a tool to help them sell that item.

It takes me 5 minutes to shoot the video maybe 2 minutes to upload it and then factor in a little bit of driving. I could shoot as much as 5 videos in 1 hour. I know most people out there cant say they make $100 an hour doing something that easy with no investment or special skill required. Best part is you are actually providing a valuable service for people. Not everyone has a camera or the know-how or even the time to go upload a video to the internet so people generally are all for it. This is not some MLM scam or shady fly by night production. And if you treat it as such your CVN privelages will be revoked. We are all about clean, quality content and service.

As you can tell I am passionate about it. I just think its an awesome opportunity for people to make some money very easily, efficiently and in a quality type of way. You can make as little or as much as you want. We just want to get people started and get some great testimonials and stories under our belt. Thats why we are going as far as giving away hundreds of $100 digital cameras....
