Is your marketing dysfunctional?

Is it performing its expected function?

If not, there can be several reasons why. First of all you could be doing all the right things in all the wrong ways. Or, you simply aren’t doing the things you should be doing.

Your marketing campaign can go dysfunctional immediately or gradually over time. But the one commom denominator is this:

Your marketing campaign will always crash and burn faster, if you don't have a firm grasp of essential marketing values, basics and techniques.

Incompetence is the number one reason why many marketing campaigns fail.

However, I've also seen experienced marketing pros get lazy and lose focus of the principles of proper marketing techniques. They forget to pay attention to detail, or they're simply too close to the project at hand.

My advice: Bring in a fresh pair of highly competent eyes from the outside to look over your marketing campaign from the inside out. More often than not, a fresh pair of eyes is enough to jumpstart a dysfunctional marketing campaign.

However, if all else fails and you find yourself involved in a dysfunctional marketing campaign, you have to be smart enough to know when to cut your losses and move on.
