I don't have personal experience but I have plenty of friends who do. Basically if you can afford to pay for a 5th year of college and get both majors completed by the end of that then it is definitely worth it. You do end up getting a lot more for your money, double the degrees with only 25% additional time spent in college.

If you're looking at having to be there a 6th year to get both degrees I wouldn't recommend it and instead it'd probably be better to major in one and then go to graduate school.

Keep into consideration your grades. Double majoring is much harder since you have to focus on two core areas. Splitting your time between two majors may leave you unable to fully understand something down the road. Also you may hinder your chances of getting into Grad school later on if you were thinking about that.

    Just keep it in mind.

Absolutely!!! Take full advantage of all the free college you can get. Good for you!

Take it from a guy who wishes he went to college and now is held back in many ways.

Go for it!!! What are you going to miss out on...a few parties? Maybe a girlfriend or two?

Invest in the rest of your life! Your college experience will be paying you back until the day you die....all through retirement.

When you get out, come give me a few tips for giving you this tip!

    Gaulkin,

I have bright futures paying for me and didn't know I could double major?

Anyways, college takes up enough of my time when it comes to my business. How am I supposed to make money while I'm doing all this bookwork?

To each their own, and if you don't have to worry about running your business or paying too many bills, I would definitely jump on the idea of double majoring. You will be well ahead of the game when you graduate.
