Does your website have your phone number on it?

I'm having problems with a company that owes me money for services not delivered. I've sent them countless e-mails yet they have made no effort to contact me back.

At this point I started looking for a phone number to the company and could not find one. I'm thinking that I will never do business again with a company that does not post their phone number some where on their site.

    What do you all think?

I know that feeling all too well Roger.. I always make my numbers public domain info so communication won't get broken.

Also, I'd check out the doimain in the whois directory to see if you can find at least the webmaster's number. Cheers!

Wel I'm glad that was helpful - on another note, check their local chamber and or BBB and report them if there is a legit issue so others can research them.

Last recommendation (I promise); don't dwell on it! I've been burned by enough vendors to have killed myself from worry.. so vent while you need to, but them move on and don't be upset if you can't get your investment refunded: it's like they say, what goes around comes around

Its less about the money as its only $485 and more about how this women carried herself and the promises that she made. Also, when I look at her website she seems to be braggining about her clients and her credentials...

Unfortunately today people are using CELL phones numbers too. I agree as a former consumer investigative reporter with the suggestions made. You might want to check with other sites on the Net to see if there other complaints about this person.

I had a friend that had paid over $800 for an item on eBay and through my sources in NYC I was able to scare the beejesus out of the seller when the NYC detective called him! He was REAL cooperative from then on!

So I would check to see if this person has an address besides a PO Box. If they do tell them that you have reported them to the scam squad of the local cops in her city. See if that works!

The company I work for provides internet solutions for all types of rental companies. Our main business from is our search engine, which does NOT have our phone number on it. This is so because we don't want the rental search consumer to call us, thinking we will forward them to the specific rental business they are looking for. We do it to decrease confusion within the communication.

I did have this question posed to me by a potential client recently. Once I explained why, it made sense. In our case, we don't do it to potentially hurt consumers. Also, once you receive a piece of marketing material or any emails, you will have our contact number. It is just the initial point of contact.

I do understand where you are coming from however. It makes sense in my case, but in this woman's case, it might not. I would be hesitant to jump to conclusions.
    i do work
