Why don't you just use an excel file...? Or if it has to be online, you can do it through google docs. I'm not quite sure what you are saying..

I am a big fan of google. I would use google contacts (there is a notes sections), and google calendar.

As it was said before- just create a GMAIL Spreadsheet. Easy access, easy to edit, no extra BS that you don't need. Plus its FREE.

For some smaller projects we use Google Docs. It’s free and everyone can be given (viewing or editing) access. We use SalesForce for our overall and client management. Zoho.com also has an excellent suite of free tools.
