Question Does my blog look weird?

I'm being told my blog is looking somewhat distorted by some readers, although it looks fine on my pc. I looked at it from a different computer and there was a huge blank spot near the top of the blog and the first post appears about 1/3 of the way down the page. Anyone see anything weird/ know how to fix it?

I think its an internet explorer problem because it loads fine in Firefox. I used MSN Explorer for a bit and that problem you mentioned happens in MSN Explorer (which uses Internet Explorer).

Also in Mozilla though, your right sidebar doesn't display properly at the top where the "Net-worth" thing is. Also there are a load of "tick bullet points" in random places.

Other than that - great blog!

I'm seeing the same thing that you're talking about. BIG CHUNK of blank space and then your blog...

But the coloring and everything looks great.

You def have an IE problem. I checked it at 3:29 us est time...seems like a div visibility problem off the top of my head....or maybe a positiong element not compatible with IE

It could be the above, its could also be the sidebar(or navbar) and the main content area add up more in width than the container(big white box which everything is put on) size, so ie knocks them down.

hm seems like there's a problem or two. Why can't ie and firefox just get along? Actually, I hear they've decided to collaborate.
I just checked the site out in the latest version of IE (the one with tabs) and it looks fine. My screen resolution is set at 1280 x 800.

Either way, I think removing the networth thing might help (It's not particularly impressive ). Adnan, could you clarify what the "tick bullet points" are? I wasn't aware of that.

Ooh that. Yeah, that's part of my template and it automatically does that. Not sure of how to get rid of it though.

As for the networth thing, something weird is going on. When I look at the pagesource (View-->pagesource) I see the coding for the networth graph. However, when I go into the sidebar file on my computer (the same file I uploaded to the site), there is no sign of any coding for the networth graph. That doesn't make any sense. I even re-uploaded the sidebar file with no trace of networth graph html code, and the website still shows up with the graph. Strange... any ideas? I could send you the coding for the sidebar.

Yeah you could send me the coding for the sidebar - Im no expert but I'll take a look. Have you tried refreshing your browser and stuff like that, and are you sure you uploaded to the right area etc.

Just make sure cos that's definitely a bit weird. PM the code or Email.

I was just about to send you the PM, Adnan, and then I figured out how to get rid of the networth graph. I actually had it installed as a page on my blog, so I just deleted that page. Thanks for the offer though. Does my blog look normal now? Is there still a large blank spot before the posts appear?

    Hey-
When I open your page, text and images don't begin until I scroll half way through. I can see the ads on the side and your name on top, then its blank till the bottom of the page.

    Thanks Sabrina.

Hm..I'm at a loss as to how to fix this. Maybe I shouldn't and I should just revert to a completely new theme. I need a new theme. Probably custom. This one's getting old.

Hi Rohail. No problem about the sidebar - Im glad you've got it fixed.
It just looks a bit bland now at the top of your sidebar - maybe you should consider moving he "Writeonmyboard" ad to the top of the sidebar.

By the way, there is still 1 stray "tick" bullet point to the left of where it says, "Walamu is Official". Check the code for that.

Maybe its time for a new theme lol! There are some really nice ones if you search around. I was also wondering about your designers that you have working for you? Do you do your design and coding (like for Walamu) - because I really need a frontpage done for GolfChum because otherwise I can't launch it!

Anyone else help me out with some designing?
