Unhappy Does anything take off here?

I see people asking for investors, or money to help them with their business.
I've just about given up thinking theres actually people who would do that. I have this great idea (i think) and no one will help. So i was just wondering if any businesses start off here? Do people actually get funds from others? Do partnerships happen?

If so, i have a biography of my history, current situation, and dreams. Also an 11 pages business plan (Although its exaggerated) which i hope the concept to be realized some day. If anyone is interested in doing something with it, preferebly WITH me involved, i'll be more than happy to send it.

right then... well then i've got two ideas. One is a business the other a game. Email me richandchun@gmail.com or PM for info on either. Upon request i'll also give my biography so if you're serious (you have to please be semi serious) you can know a little about me.

I know there are people out there with a lot of money. I know there is a lot of good in the world. I want to be a part of that. But I wasn't born into a wealthy family. I'm only 18 years old. I have a steady job which pays, but i know that there is more out there for me.

So *sigh* again, my arms are open.

Online Conference

ppanwar started a good idea about online conferences.
I am going to create an online conference around late june. This will include myself and a collegue of mine who is also interested in my business idea. I will hold a test conference this saturday using yahoo.

For all those who are interested, please first read my business plan and my bibliography. I will email upon request. At the same time i will email my yahoo id, and the time for the conference on saturday. The late june is yet to be decided.

The test conference is to merely test out the yahoo software in conference mode. Also to introduce myself and each other. The first people in the test conference will be key to the success of my venture.

If you know anyone in the business field, preferably investments and banking, please make them aware of this meeting. You are all invited to tag along, however i need people with insite to be present, (although this is not neccesary at the test meeting.)

I wish to thank you in advance for requesting the business plan and bibliography. I know that there are good people out here in the world, and theres a lot of money for everyone, not just the billionaires and millionaires.

Your thoughts will be highly appriciated.

Richard

You have to prove your business model is profitable. It's very rare VC's will just give you money without seeing that you have created value. Try to bootstrap your business and make it as valuable as possible, whether that means getting more people to your site or selling more of your product.

you are sighing because you don't have a conceptual system for understanding what steps you need to follow to build a business. begging for money is not one of them.

if you did - you'd see the the whole thing in your head - right to the end - and you wouldn't despair.

if you'd like to, i can line you a list of steps you need to take next.

Akula,

You are 100% correct. I am currently enrolled in a business school, and am getting my AA in Business Administration in July 2007. I just barely took "basic principles of business managment" as a course, and you are right. I still don't have the "conceptual system for understanding what steps" i need to take. But since i was born i've been looking up and copying. Thats how i've become who i am today. I saw everyone else walking, so i began to walk (crawled at first) but made it. Oh they can ride a bike, so i learnt. we spoke to communicate, so i copied and learned. Same with beliefs and habits up until i grew old enough to think for myself. Well i still copy today. and not the bad copying like on tests or exams, but looking up and copying successful people.

If i had a nickel for every time i've heard someone say "dreams can come true" well i wouldn't be here right now. I can tell you i've listenend to almost all motivational tapes from speakers like Anthony Robbins, Jim Rohn, Richard Brandler, Brian Tracy and many others; that i could find for free. Why? Because I don't have the money to buy them myself. If i spent all the money i had on those tapes, i'd have no food, no new clothes, no fun, except reading and listening materials. I don't believe you should go to the bottom to start moving to the top. I believe that you can climb the classes from whereever you are. I wrote Anthony and the gang an 11 page letter explaining who i am, my dreams, and why. I'm just an average middle class 18 year old learning the ropes of life. I'm not poor, i'm not struggling with life, i'm not in "need" for money. But i have this dream of not having to worry about limits. Looking on a menu at the price not the meal. All this is in my biography.

Akula, I may not know the ropes, but i sure to heck want to learn them. The biggest fear i have is failure, and i don't want to lose the money i have, nor anyone elses money. Money in some cases does make the world go round. It depends, as with anything. So maybe i should be begging for money. But I'm not really. It may seem like it, so i'll rephrase it.

I have a dream, and i'm looking for anyone who can help me make it a reality. I'm sick and tired of scams and schemes. I want to create the opposite. A company that lives by its words. Although my business plan is somewhat exaggerated, this quote is what started me asking.

"Asking is the beginning of receiving. Make sure you don't go to the ocean with a teaspoon. At least take a bucket so the kids won't laugh at you."
Jim Rohn

I've had no response as yet other than "good luck with that" and "i'll see what i can do" with no action.

That's a little bit on where i'm coming from.

Richard
