Does anyone use Instant Messaging software within their business?

Hi guys, newbie here! I love the forum – I’ll been reading & following for a while now!
I’m just looking to see if anyone uses any form of ‘Instant Messaging’ software between employees in their business?

If so, which one do you use and why?
If not, what do you use to communicate within the office? (apart from speaking – obviously! )

Thanks guys! Really look forward to your responses!

Hey Paul_R, Welcome to the forum!
Well communication is very important for any business, within the organization and with its customers. For internal communication we use Skype, MSN messenger and emails for formal work. And for our customers we use Help Desk Software.

Skype, MSN and emails are popular and OK but they could be very intrusive and out of control of the management ! That's why in our office we are using Brosix. It is very good for office IM because works on all platforms (Win, Linux , Mac), mobile phones and tablets (iPhone, iPad and Android) so you can keep an eye on the communication even when the employees are out of the office

The major feature is that you can create and control your own corporate instant messaging network and it offers plenty of additional features like:

    - screen sharing,
    - video/audio calls,
    - co-browse,
    - whiteboard,
    - screenshots sending and others.

The best part is that Brosix encrypts all the communication channels unlike other public or paid messengers that only encrypt some of the channels (only chat or audio). There is 30 day free trial ! brosix.com
