    Exclamation Do Not Call...

I know this isn't actually business related per se, but I felt it was important nonetheless. If you're one of the millions of Americans who registered your telephone number on the national "Do Not Call" registry, you'd better read this article:

I work for a real estate agency in Australian, and a government do not call register has just been setup and is really causing us headaches.

It will never expire as congress are trying to pass the bill that would make it permanent.

People still need to re-register in the interim, because their registration could expire before the bill is passed.

Yes, everyone has to re-register until they pass the bill, if they will. Also, whenever someone registers, since when it was introduced 5 or 6 years ago, in the confirmation message after registration, it always states when your registration will expire. And, then all you have to do is to re-register.

My registration expires next year I think, and I have to re-register, but my old phone number has since changed due to relocation, blah, blah... yes, that's how it works, but it does work though, because since it was introduced and since I entered my phone number, I don't receive any more of these annoying calls.

I think in all, that's the best feature the government has ever done, that actually works.

And uh,didnt you say congress is trying to pass a bill?? Think about it, it takes them 2 years to pass the simple bills. That one sounds too complicated for them,lol..Sorry I had to say that.

I enjoy telemarketers, to be honest. I try to sell them stuff back! They get very flustered and end up trying to hang up on ME. haha

haha, that's funny and cute, I'll remember to do that from now, too bad I don't get any more calls from telemarketers, except from these police officers associations who when they call you asking for money donation, they introduce themselves as police officers from blah blah police association, I guess just because they are police officers associations, that I'm supposed to just give them money.

i like the movie Boiler Room (2000), when Seth Davis played by Giovanni Ribisi, received a call from a telemarketer trying to sell him a magazine subscription and Seth Davis turned on him, and the guy got nervous because Seth Davis kept asking him naive questions. It's hilarious.
