Distributers?? where from

Hey guys.
Im jack from australia

I am intrested in selling clothes online and in a shop front. (hit two birds with one stone)

I am after tips on how to find fashion clothing distributers.
There are all these trendy shops where i live, where do these people buy all there clothes from?
Has anyone been in the fashion retails industry before?
If so what types of markups do people generally put on clothing?

i know these are quiet broad questions but any feedback would be great
