What is digg? Haha I don't really blog much so this is new to me

I thought everyone knew what digg was. Well basically its a place where people submit news from website articles or blog-posts. Then other users get to vote on them i.e. digg them or bury them. Then if an artice gathers enough interest it's promoted to the front page and can give the hosting webiste huge amounts of traffic in a very small amount of time. Sometimes even crashing the site. Its known as the "Digg effect".

If the news u submit is not well recieved then it gets buried i.e. it gets deleted

I think thats the basic ins and outs of it
