Im not sure what you are getting at, articles get Dugg because they are interesting and enough people like them... it just so happens that big companies are already popular so people have an interest in them. I'm guessing your article did not get front paged?

If you start to read TechCrunch you will see that Digg has some serious new competition.

I only received six diggs so far on my article *cough, cough*, but I've seen a decent number of hits from Digg regardless. Ultimately, it's better to use it than not if you're trying to get people to notice your site.

a lot of success can be had if you have "power in numbers". being on Digg's front page gets you great results. i made it once and had something like 50,000 page views over two days from it. nice free traffic. and i didnt have to 'cheat the system' to do it.

i have read articles about large groups who digg each other to achieve front page status, and yes it is cheating the system, but power in numbers can lead to a lot of success. it is morally wrong? maybe. is it illegal...no. i wish i had a network of 1,500 people to all digg things i submit, lol.
