Talking Creative mind has hit a road block.

I am 22 years old and have hit a road block to my successful business. I currently own a paint party company in which a bar or club lets us come in and throw a glow in the dark paint party. It has been a lot of fun and very profitable for me. However, there has been a big road block in the growth.

Problem: The places I have thrown the parties are owned by friends of mine. I want to expand to other regions however no other venues will let me throw parties due to the mess the party creates. Don't get me wrong we cover literally everything in the club except the floors. We also pressure wash the floors right after. The clubs however do not think it is worth their time. Their sales are doubled on our parties but yet not worth the liability.

Solutions: We have thought of renting a warehouse in different cities (but no one will let us rent one for just one weekend.) We have thought of buying a big tent (but landholders dont want us getting their lawns full of paint.)

It is such a shame that this creative idea that me and my partner have come up cannot grow because of this problem. So I turn to the smartest group of entrepreneurs on the internet for some advice. Any ideas??

Have you tried many different clubs? If you have hard evidence that such parties do generate doubled sales then their surely shouldn't be a problem in getting work...

Have you thought about setting up your own permanent venue? ie. renting a warehouse for good!

Can you pitch to the club owners (or any other venue) that you can help promote their place too? You're driving people into their venue, creating word-of-mouth advertising for them. My suggestion would be to really show them the benefits they would receive (increased traffic and revenue) with no risk to their property. The benefits for them have to outweigh the risks. Also, see what you can find out about your targeted venues and the trigger points you can use (i.e., increased traffic).

    Hope this helps.

I have tried other clubs but they are more worried about protecting their club more than the profit margins they would receive. However, I will take your advices and try to emphasize even more than I have the benefits not only in sales but in promotion as well. Thank you all for your help!

if it goes wrong you'll be needing more than a pressure wash to get rid of the mess.

This might end up being more costly for the club owners.

I suggest you host another party at a friends venue.

Invite as many of these club owners as you can.

Make that night as a sort of pitch.

Having it all on paper can only get you so far...However if they see it in action and you pull it off correctly... Then you might get to convice some of them.

We have parties like this at school, but instead of paint use high lighters which glow in the black lights. You might try having a designated area where you can use day glow paints on shirts and what not and then hand out (or sell) different colors of high lighters that will glow. There are also certain types of jungle juice that you can make that will also glow which looks great in clear cups.
