I have been planning on creating a website in which the customer can pick there own type of shirt and then choose what they want it to say on it.

Would it be easier do my own screen printing because diffrent types of orders will always be coming in, so i would never really have anything ready in stock or should i still take it to a professional.

It would be nearly impossible to screen print such designs/copy. The time and cost to burn screens for only one print would end up costing the consumer loads of money.

And there are over a dozen companies that already offer this through an interactive website service. I don't think one of them's been too successful.

well they aren't going to be able to put pictures only phrases.

why don't you just select a number of fairly popular quotes and use them, this way even though they are limited it will keep consumer costs down, which in turn will help you to generate revenue as the consumer costs will be lower so you will sell more.

This is a generic question but do you have to pay royalties for using quotes? Or is it in the public domain and free to use? Or depends on the quote?
