I was sat watching telly last night and all that dominated the ( UK ) news was credit crunch this and bank crisis that, to tell you the truth i got very tired of it and the channel was switched over in 2 seconds flat. I didn't need any more doom and gloom to ruin my weekend, but then i had an idea and it's probably the craziest one i've ever let drift through my head. Anyway see what you think, and i am talking primarily about the Bank of England here although obviously other banks could follow or may already be doing so ?

How long do you think before the Bank of England will allow on one side of the low denomination coins companies of a global prescence to pay for advertising on them ? Imagine the possible revenue they could drag back into the Reserve and at the end of the advertising campaign of a few years the coins can be melted down and re-used again.

I know it's flawed from the start in respect to fraud and like i said it's probably the most craziest idea i've had but i thought i would share it with you.

Hey, by the way if anyone does have a contact at the BoE and manages to pull this off, brown envelopes stuffed with cash would not be refused....

I was thinking about this just yesterday

I was thinking of buying some really strong adhesive stickers and putting my brand on loads of coins. I'm sure it wouldn't be long before I got a call from the authorities; hopefully I would get some half-decent press coverage and it would probably be worthwhile.
