    Corporate Tax Network - Ratings?

Does anyone have experience with this accounting firm? I would like to use them, but can't find a BBB rating.

    Thumbs up

Not every business is registered with the BBB (and businesses don't have to be). The BBB is a privately held company, not a government watchdog agency like many people think. You can contact some of their clients at corporatetaxnetworkclients.com for reviews.

I do. They are horrible!!! They were recommended to me by Legal Zoom, the company that helped me incorporate. Legal Zoom partners with Corporate Tax Network.First of all Corporate Tax Network is outragously expensive, especially if you are a very small business. They never answer the phone. You always have to leave a message. They rarely return e-mails. I had them prepare my 2009 tax and 2010 tax returns. The person who prepared my returns this year did not set me up to have my payment deducted automatically from my checking account as I specified and included the documents to have this done. I had to call them because I noticed the day after my taxes were due nothing had been withdrawn from my account. Then the woman who prepared my taxes tried to tell me that there was nothing they could do at this point, finally after I got angry and raised my voice did she tell me she would fix her mistake. This month, I called to cancel my membership and again had to leave a voice mail. After a week, I finally got a return phone call and was told my membership was cancelled. The next day, I received an e-mail from them that said in order for them to process my cancellation, someone from their "Cancellation Department would have to call me." They said this would happen in 48 hours. A week later, after I hadn't heard from them, I called back to tell them I was still waiting on the call I was supposed to get to cancel. To date no one has returned my phone call. Unfortunately, the charge me a $20 per month retainer that comes directly out of my business checking account. I believe I may just have to stop payment on their auto withdraw authorization.
Corporate Tax Network is a SHAM of a business!!!!!!! Find another accountant!

I have had a great experience with Corporate Tax Network. I own a small business which I started in February 2010. Corporate Tax Network helped me with all of the necessary paperwork to get my company registered as a LLC and gave me great advice on business planning. They did all of this for a very minimal cost compared to other companies I thought about using. After that positive experience, I went back to Corporate Tax Network with help on my company's 2010 taxes. Taxes can be a headache but they walked me through everything I needed, provided me with knowledge on some tax breaks and did my filings for me. Again, for a minimal cost compared to many other companies out there. So far so good for me. I will continue to use Corporate Tax Network and I recommend it other small business owners looking for a company to assist in taxes or business planning/document preparation.
