Talking Converting to LLC from Sole Prop?

If you convert from a Sole Proprietor to an LLC, can you continue to do business under the same fictitious name?

Let's say I register a name as a sole prop, "The Cleaners," then I get a business license for my county, a contractor's license, and get bonded, then I proceed to bid on buildings and clean them. I register a few employees, pay them, etc.

A year goes by, I want to become an LLC, (eg. - The Cleaners LLC) and still want to do business as "The Cleaners," which has been already registered to my sole prop. - is this possible? What should I do?

Also, do I have to get new licenses (or did I leave some out for starting a sole prop cleaning business?).

    Thanks!

If I was in your situation, I would look to amend the fictitious name. But that is just me.
