Question "Content is King": Do you hire people to write for you(?)

Iv'e heard it said over and over and over again that "content is king". I was wondering.........roughly how much do you all WRITE for your website? Have you hired a team to do this, or do you do it yourself? For our site, myself, and another partner, have worked extremely hard at producing a significant amount of quality articles pertaining to our products and services, while just all around being informative and helping people.......

Have you hired people now, or in the past, to do writing for you? How many articles do you write a week, for your website's content?

I am not sure if this would work for your site but if you could not afford to hire someone and you and your biz partner didn't have the time to write articles yourselves; you could allow user-generated content. Allow users to write blogs, articles and share stories, you could consider using a forum as well.

Business, stocks and real estate. I'm going to write a lot of articles myself as well. There aren't many blogs out there with quality information on how to make money with stocks and real estate so im sure i can do pretty well and probably make some money.

We usually write 3 or 4 articles a month just to add some new contents to the sites but we adding rss feeds into our sites to do a lot of the work for us also, our Blogg is a great way of directing people to our sites and this we try to update every day if possible although the blogg does earn a small amount of revenue it earns it keep by highlighting all 30 odd of our sites.

2 forums have been added also to 2 of our sites a Subaru site which is only about 3weeks old but the Forum was started to be worked on as from yesterday and the 2nd one is a Gardening Forum which has been fully setup and the hard work has begun on getting people to post on it but that will come.As i see it there are 3 hobbies or pastimes that people love to talk about and take pictures of and they are Cars/Gardening/Diy and if you get a forum started in any of those topics it usually will be a hit.

    Mega.......

I have a handful of sites. I used to write myself in the beginning but I can't anymore. I spend at least $300 a month on fresh content (cumulative).

If you learn to delegate you'll have more time for more important aspects.

So with that kind of proven track record I can imagine she's charging you thousands like other SEO experts in that caliber do?

That's cool that you have her as a partner so there's an ownership factor there that pushes your success along too.

I try my best to stick to a believe - Don't spend any money without making it first

So I don't hire anybody to write content for me. I write them all on myself.

But I plan to outsource this eventually once I start making money. This will guaranteed me to move my income and business to the next level.

Currently I wrote average 5 articles per day. I know this is low as some experts are writing 10-15 articles per day.

I know not everyone out there has been lucky enough to have developed a platform like MySpace or Facebook, so, what kind of things can be done to get users to provide content?......Iv'e been brainstorming ideas like potentially holding 'writing' contests.....having people write articles about why they like a product, or something like that........

what kind of creative things have people done here to get content for you site?
